Harper Blynn

So here's a post about some of my favorite dudes in the world who happen to be in one of my favorite bands in the world, Harper Blynn. They've been playing a residency at Hotel Cafe in Hollywood for a bit now, and me and J have been lucky enough to make it out to several of their shows. If you haven't heard them I highly suggest you give them a listen. They're musical stylings include: unmatched vocals from both singers (that's right! 2 lead singers!) and harmonies that make you just shake your head and furrow your brow (in a good way) on their recordings and most impressively, live... one of the most creative drummers I've ever had the pleasure of knowing, and totally sick bass riffs.

Also, they are all handsome. So there's that.

Why Harper Blynn has not exploded is beyond me, but I have a sneaking suspicion it's going to happen soon. I'll be one of the lucky ones that got to see them before they blew up and starting snorting lines of coke in their badass tour bus! *Not really, I don't think they'd do that.

Go to their website and have a listen. If you want to ease into it listen to their cover of Halo (the Beyonce song), you'll be a believer after that. Then buy some of their songs.

Hipstamatic Halloween

Halloween was of epic proportions. We spent Saturday night at Hotel Cafe shaking our money makers to the sweet tunes of our good pals, Harper Blynn. They covered Thriller and pulled it off splendidly to say the least. On the actual holiday we went to a house party in Venice hosted by the lovely, adorable and hospitable couple, Jess and Kong. The dance party was pretty sweet. Why do fog machines make you wanna shake your ass harder? Jonny and I went as Axl and Slash... I love couples costumes...
Here's some photos of our adventures:
